PARKWOOD'S CAROLINE RUTH

For the second year in a row Parkwood's outstanding pitcher Caroline Ruth is the 2018 Cy Young award winner. Ruth finished her steller senior year by winning the "Pitching Triple-Crown" leading Union Co. in wins, strike-outs and ERA. Caroline finished the season with a 19-1 record, while striking out 225 batters and a 0.45 ERA. Caroline was named to the 2018 ALL-UCHSSoftballcom’s 1st team, 1st team ALL-SCC and SCC Pitcher of the Year. At the plate Caroline batted .394 with 26 hits while driving in 20 runs, smacking 4 HR's this season. She helped lead the Rebels to a 22-1 record, the SCC Title, a SCC Tournament Title and to the 3rd round of the state playoffs. CONGRATULATIONS CAROLINE!!!

MARVIN RIDGE'S JESSICA DAVIS

Jessica finished her junior year by hitting .468 on the season with 36 hits, knocked in 35 RBI and led Union Co. with 8 HRs and scored 26 runs for the Mavericks. Jess was named to the 2017 ALL-UCHSSoftballcom’s 1st team & 1st team ALL-SCC. Jess helped lead the Marvin Ridge Mavericks to a 22-4 record and to the 4th Round of the 3A State playoffs.
