PORTER RIDGE'S NATALYA SALO

The 2024 UCHSSoftball.com’s MVP is Natalya Salo (PR). Natalya won the Triple Crown leading Union Co. in batting average, homeruns and RBI. Nayalya hit .532 on the season, hitting 7 homeruns and knocked in 30 runs for Porter Ridge. Ms. Salo collected 33 hits along with scoring 12 runs and smashed 8 doubles and a triple for Coach Allran. She was named SCC Player of the Year and All-SCC this season. Ms. Salo knocked in a season high 5 RBI twice and hit a career high 3 HRs in an 11-1 win over Providence. Ms. Salo is the 1st player in at least the past 15 years to win the elusive Union Co. Triple Crown!

On the mound Ms. Salo was steller with a 14-5 record along with4 striking out 184 batters to go with a 1.82 ERA for Porter Ridge. Natalya recorded 10+ K’s in 5 games including a season 17 K’s vs. Legion Collegiate Academy. Ms. Salo recorded her 500th career strikeout in a 12-2 win over Sun Valley. The Pirates advanced to the 2nd round of the state 4A playoffs. Natalya will continue her academic and softball career at Wofford College. Congratulations Natalya!
