    Yellow Jackets lost to N. Rowan 14-12

    The rushing attack for the Mount Pleasant Tigers proved to be too much in their 39-15 road conference win over Forest Hills. After trailing 6-0 early in the first quarter, Forest Hills (2-5 overall, 0-1) junior Jayshawn McLaughlin gave his team its only lead of the game (7-6) on an 80 yard touchdown run. Mount Pleasant responded with 17 unanswered points to take a 23-7 halftime lead. Junior Floyd Louallen scored the Yellow Jackets' only other touchdown on the night while senior CJ Carelock ran in the two point conversion. Mount Pleasant (5-2, 1-0) was led by junior running back Cody Reece, who had 39 carries for 208 yards and four touchdowns. Forest Hills junior quarterback Zaccheus Rorie left the game during the first series with what is believed to be a dislocated finger on his right hand. He was replaced by junior Jordan Blakeney. Forest Hills will be at Parkwood Friday.

      Yellow Jackets lost to N. Rowan 14-12

      Trailing 14-0 in the third quarter, Forest Hills' rally fell just short in a road loss. Forest Hills quarterback Zaccheus Rorie put his team on the board late in the third quarter on a four yard run to cut the North Rowan (4-2) lead to 14-6. Early in the fourth quarter, the junior quarterback found the end zone again, this time from seven yards out. Forest Hills has a 2-4 record going into the bye week.

        Yellow Jackets stop Cavaliers.

        Forest Hills High came up short in a 28-14 loss to Cuthbertson. The Yellow Jackets knocked out Cuthbertson's Austin Kendall and was replaced by junior Tommy Danca. Danca finished 5-of-10 for 58 yards and a TD. He led the Cava liers on two scoring drives. Forest Hills travels to North Rowan Friday.

          Forest Hills rolls over Piedmont 32-20

          Forest Hills High junior JayShawn McLaughlin could have stopped playing at half- time and still had a night to remember in Friday’s 32-20 home win over Piedmont. An offseason transfer from Over- hills High in the Fayetteville area, McLaughlin ran for four first-half touchdowns to help the Yellow Jackets jump out to an early lead. been with us through the offsea- McLaughlin finished the night with 19 carries for 142 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Yellow Jackets attempt- ed just six passes compared to 49 rushes for 257 yards. Junior back Floyd Louallen added 71 yards and a touch- down on 16 carries. Forest Hills (2-2) snapped a two-game losing streak with Friday’s win. The Jackets travel to Cuthbertson next Friday.

          The Forest Hills Yellow Jacketsdrop their 2nd loss in a row, this time to across the boarder rival Pageland Central (SC) 20-6.

          Forest Hills falls to Weddington 35-20

          The Forest Hills Yellow Jackets just could not stop the Warriors offense Friday and lost 35-20 to Weddington. The Yellow Jackets ansewred a early 1st quarter by the Warriors with a 80-yard touchdown run by Jayshawn McLaughlin but could not stop the Warriors who put a TD on the board in each remaing quarter. Senior QB Zaccheus Rorie r ushed 14 times for a game-high 132 yards and a touchdown, and also threw a 10-yard TD pass to Tyler White.

          Forest Hills hold on for a 7-6 overtime win over Anson Co.

          The Forest Hills Yellow Jackets opened the 2014 football season with a suspenseful 7-6 over time win against border rival Anson County on Friday. After Jackets junior QB Zaccheus Rorie tied the game at 6-all with a 14-yard TD run in the over time, it came down to the leg of AJ Allen. A junior who star ts at linebacker and also plays in the of fensive backfield, Allen made the first extra point attempt of his varsity career — resulting in a walk-off victory in front of the home crowd as an extra point in overtime was the difference in a 7-6 victory over Anson on Friday night. It wasn’t pretty by kick- er’s standards, but it went through to give the Jack- ets a 1-0 record and spark a celebration. Anson defeated FH 33-20 in the 2013 season opener.
